Don’t Talk Doubt
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.—MATTHEW 21:21
Spiritual growth is similar to physical growth. You didn’t grow up physically overnight. So don’t get discouraged when you don’t grow up spiritually overnight. Begin to practice the Word of God, and you will grow spiritually.
Don’t confess your doubts. Doubt will hinder your spiritual growth. Many people think they are being honest when they confess their doubts. Now if you’re saved, you’re not full of doubt. There has to be some faith in your heart or you couldn’t have been saved. The Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Eph. 2:8).
Instead of talking do
ubt, why not just say, “I’m a believer and I do have faith”? If you’re saved, you know you are. Confess who you are in Christ. Don’t confess your doubts. Rev. F. F. Bosworth said, “Doubt your doubts, and believe your beliefs.” The trouble with most Christians is that they are believing their doubts and doubting their be liefs. Doubting your doubts and believing your beliefs will put you over if you’ll just practice it.
Confession:
I’m a believer and I do have faith. I doubt my doubts and believe my beliefs. And doing this will put me over in every area of life.
